Moira Stuart on Radio 2

Moira Stuart has recently joined the ranks of Radio 2’s music presenters with her Sunday night show. It’s a mix of popular standards, jazz and easy listening ideally suited to what was David Jacob’s old time slot. Those with long memories will remember Moira as a Radio 2 staff announcer and newsreader in the early 1980s. One of her duties was to host the overnight 2-5 a.m. show You and the Night and the Music, a show which, due to needletime restrictions,was light on records but heavy on recorded sessions by the BBC orchestras and other groups.
