'We shouldn''t have to wait' campaigners on govt delaying plans for plain packaging for cigarettes
Health campaigners criticise the government's decision to postpone plans for cigarettes to be sold in plain packaging in England and Wales. Ministers held a consultation on bringing them in a year ago and the measure was expected in the recent Queen's Speech. Cancer Research UK says it's bitterly disappointed with the decision and accuses the government of choosing tobacco profits over health. Victoria speaks to them, to smokers, and to Linda Bauld, who's Professor of Health policy at the University of Stirling. She carried out research into plain packets in 2011.
