Are you good at winning arguments?

If you are, be very careful! Winning an argument doesn’t mean you win someone round to your point of view and usually that’s the goal. If I make a good argument I’ll get them on-side. Often argument winners use facts & figures as the trump card and even if it wins the official argument if it doesn’t persuade on a personal level, you haven’t won you’ve lost and you mightn’t even know it.

This is Fiona Kearns knowing that winning an argument isn’t always winning.
