2010 Chile Earthquake & Tsunami -- MrC

The 2010 Chile earthquake measured 8.8 on the Richter Scale. It's powerful shaking reduced buildings to ruble and generated a tsunami that raced at 500 miles per hour across the Pacific ocean. Because of the Nazca plate subducting underneath the South American plate, Chile is well-known for its many earthquakes.
