Too many gastro-pubs?

Michelin published its annual "Eating Out in Pubs" guide this week, full of watering holes around the country where you can get fine cuisine to go with your beer, wine or cider. But given there's a recession on, have we seen too many pubs go gastro, rather than serving cheap, traditional pub grub?
