Listening Project - Whit and Linford
Ever wanted to eavesdrop on a conversation? Well with BBC Radio Manchester's new series, the Listening Project, you can do just that. We've recorded chats between close friends and family - and here's the latest. Linford and Whit, have lots in common. Both came to Britain as immigrants from Jamaica, and settled in Manchester. But there are also some big differences. Unlike Whit, Linford really struggled to forge a bond with his own dad. Instead he turned to Whit - 21 years his senior - for help.
You can get involved in The Listening Project. Just email conversation@bbc.co.uk with your details. All the recorded conversations will be archived in the British Library so you can leave a record of your voice for future generations of your family.
