Bill Ballance is credited with helping to create the 'shock jock' genre - and a Howard Stern influence - although, hearing him now, his act seems naturally tamer.
Bill hosted shows from the late 50s on KFWB; then on KGBS in LA, where he hosted 'The Feminine Forum' radio show from 1971. KFMB in San Diego was his next home.
Bill retired in 1993, and died in 2004.
