CROW ON THE GO: Meet The USF St. Pete Newspaper/Digital Staff

Host Nanette Wiser and GM Joe Bourdow (seen here) welcomed the next generation of multimedia journalists and designers into our studio at Thrive DTSP. Our chat ranged from campus issues (housing) to covering the Bulls and future aspirations. USF has student publications on both campuses, and we enjoyed talking with Crows Nest St. Pete editors and reporters guided by former USF grad and faculty advisor Chelsea T. Zukowski, M.A. , Department of Journalism & Digital Communication USF St. Petersburg campus. The staff has been producing excellent, student-focused coverage this semester and we hope to hear some of their reporting on USF news and research and their articles on RadioStPete.com.

Representing Crow were the editor-in-chief, sports editor, online editor, arts and life editor and the marketing manager/community engagement lead.  Sofia Garcia Vargas, Mahika Kukday, Kendall Bulkiewicz, Alisha Durosier and Abigail Hillspoke with us about the opportunities and challenges of reporting today and their dream assignments.  Three of the team couldn't make it but we look forward to hosting more Crow On The Go podcasts with all including Riley (news editor), Jenna (staff reporter), and Marcella (multimedia editor).
