The Many Lives of Beattie Mansion, Part Two | Grave Talks CLASSIC
Nov 06, 04:00 PM
Nestled on a hill in St. Joseph, Missouri, the Beattie Mansion has held strong for nearly 170 years—though some of its residents seem a bit too attached to leave. Built in 1854 by Armstrong Beattie, a banker-turned-five-time mayor, and his wife, Eliza, this grand abode has housed the homeless, orphans, and the elderly… and the occasional ghostly tenant. Armstrong and Eliza’s spirits seem to have made themselves permanent residents, adding “spectral supervisors” to the list of mansion staff. The mansion’s current owner tried hiring help for renovations, but thanks to the “paranormal perks,” finding committed workers has been tricky. Today, we dive into the eerie history of Beattie Mansion with owner Michael Burkart. Buckle up for Part Two of The Grave Talks
