Vulture Mine

One of the largest and most important mines in Arizona history was found in Maricopa County and was a huge part in the development of a good portion of southern Arizona. It was in service for nearly 100 years before it became too unstable to be in use. During those years, countless people were killed in cave ins and mining accidents as well as vigilante justice and hangings around town. These unsettled souls are said to haunt this area turning it into one of the most haunted places in Arizona.
