we are actually gonna be talking about why epic

with almost 10 years of being a real estate agent

excited to introduce you to some of the leadership
within our company here in the Memphis
Tennessee area
and they are just gonna answer the question for us
why epic I'm Angie Davis
I am a real estate agent and a coach
and an area leader for epic
so I'm a mentor and I help run
the business here in the Memphis area
hey guys I'm Hayden Edmondson uh
I'm the manager broker here in West Tennessee
um I'm the guy that behind the scenes
that kind of push out the fires and helps everybody
stay in production and kind of stay organised
alright you guys so first thing I wanna ask is
how is epic changing our industry
well it change is such a it's an understated word
epic is disrupting our industry
um it is literally a disruptive brokerage
that's built by agents and it's built for agents
the whole preface of how epic was built
and why it was built is
they wanted the broker to work for the agent
and they have delivered on that
continue to deliver on that
and are just rolling things out to help make agents
lives better
and help our jobs easier make our jobs easier
so it's a different kind of brokerage
most brokerages are just taking money
I think that that's probably the biggest thing
uh most brokerages take your commission cuts
they you pay in your uh
monthly fees and you get almost nothing in return
uh this company has done a really good job
at every attribute
or every problem that you have throughout your career
they have benefits that can plug in at different times
it might be a car wash
it might be CRMs it might be lead generation
it might be social media you know boost
whatever it is like they have you on all fronts uh
and I think that that's the big
one of the biggest things that makes this company
different
like they're always adding more and more things
yesterday I think they come out with like
almost 10 different things
like it was ridiculous so
I would say that's probably what the biggest thing is
that makes epic different from all the other places
yeah and I have to say
part of why I decided to join epic was
at the end of the day
I actually saw that I was getting something back
from what I was paying in
and that's really the overarching thing for me
as to why I said okay
like this is a good move for me
and I'm not someone that jumps from company to company
to company within like
two years I'm pretty loyal to where I stay
so it was a big decision but that aside
and yes all the things that you get
there's some savings there
all the tools and resources are built to help
save you money and make you more productive
epic even since I joined a couple months ago
they're always
I can't even keep up with all the new things
that they're bringing out
so for instance yesterday was a big thing
which I don't even know what it is yet
so I waited to ask you in this video
what did they roll out cause I wasn't on the
on the zoom yesterday alright
so as of yesterday they actually released
a handful of different benefits
that I thought would be hugely
beneficial to the community
as long as your as
as well as your business uh
the first one being uh
they done a Realty Pro membership
so we're still finding out the details of that one
but it's another lead service of high
high level leads that you're getting for a
either a discounted price and or for free uh
they also wrote out Nemo which is a natural uh
disaster relief fund and basically
epic has set it up to where every agent that is
inside the company can donate to this fund
and epic will uh
match it dollar for dollar up to $1 million
along with that they done the Urban Sitter
I think is what it is um
basically if you're a single mom
or somebody that's needing daycare
or needing pet care or babysitting
or even elderly care I think that's what they said
they will help you
find somebody to come in and help cover you
while you're going out working
they announced global expansion
so in quarter one of uh next year
they're gonna expand globally and um
you know that's that's kind of cool
I mean who knows where we're going
their goal is to take it into five uh
10 countries in the first five years wow
so um
exciting things there we currently are in
I think as of the recording of this video 31
32 states and OK roughly 4,000 agents um
so our goal is to be in all 50 states
by the end of the year
first quarter of next year one of the things
and it can be a little confusing
is the stock opportunity simply put
most agents I'm not saying all agents
but most agents are not thinking order retirement plan
that's one thing that I mean we're just not very true
we don't focus on it we don't think about it
I guess we think that we're gonna sell houses
until the day we die
I am not trying to do that a lot of our plan is that
but no we're not trying to do that
I feel like the stock
the stock opportunity is an amazing opportunity
because it allows you to kind of plan for that future
for most agents the way our stock is
we are not publicly traded yet
but we are
our goal is to be publicly traded by um 2026 so um
our stock right now you can buy it ¢53 a share
that's what it's what it's valued at
it's also valued quarterly and then um
we get to buy it at a discount
so with 10% of our net commission
and you can do one closing that way
and then the next closing
you don't have to buy any stock um
you can take 10% of your net commission
and buy the company stock
at a 20% discount nice so um
there's also there's six different ways to earn
stock in the company obviously
it'd help grow the company um
your first closing many different ways to earn stock
you're gonna be selling real estate anyway
for the next two or three years
that why not have a
a plan in place and slowly be buying stock
to where when the company goes public
you have a seven figure retirement plan
so on top of the extra 10% um
when you
you're paying in your 15% to the company right
we have 85
15 splits throughout your entire career with a 15K cap
so for the declining and declining
that's right
and it goes down 1,000 every year up until $10,000
so after five years you're paying in 10K and that's it
you know
so you weigh out your benefits and stuff like that
and it's super high compared to that uh
but on top of that once you cap out
they also give you uh for safe it's at 15,000 still
they give you $12,500 back in stock in the company uh
which is massive
you're selling real estate at a company
and you've only paid in 20
five hundred dollars
now if for the real high producers
if you're selling 10 million or 20 deals plus a year
they give you all $15,000 back in stock in the company
so you don't think that adds up
like I know people that have been
here for less than one year
they've kept out and they've got 30
40,000 shares in their first calendar year
you get to go do your normal job and build a potential
seven figure 4 0
1 k yeah
and that at the end of the day again
is what
is what got me when we really looked at everything
is that
I'm getting something back from what I'm putting in
anyway to sell real estate
why do you think so many agents
are coming over and choosing epic
there's quite a few
even new companies that have popped up in the last
I don't know five or six years or so sure
yeah well
you've you've got choices right
I mean there's there's the brick and mortar uh
traditional real estate model
and you know that that's fine and good
and that served everybody for a lot of years
you and I were there as well
that's where we started and where we met
but um you when it comes to a cloud based brokerage
I think there's so much more that they can give you
but when you look at just value overall value
when you look at oh my gosh
they're gonna reward me for staying here
I'm gonna have very competitive splits
but for that 15% like that I'm paying in yeah
in company dollar what am I getting back
I've said it from the beginning
like this is the year of value
this is the season of value for the real estate agent
everybody thinks that our
what we do is like selling sunset
hmm and it's not y'all
it is there's tears
there's smacking the dashboard
there's days where it's tough
there's days where you're grouchy
haha he's not
and yeah of course
but everybody thinks that what we do is so
so glitz and glamorous and
there's so many things that we have to take care of
as 1099 employees that
all of these benefits and values that were offered
like I think it
when you look at us compared to the traditional models
even compared to the other cloud based models
it's just there's there's no question
my first question
and I'll be I'll be the first to admit this was
is this sustainable um
I think a lot of people are asking that yeah
I mean and it's a fair question honestly
it's probably the biggest question that the company
gets the analyst have run
run the numbers
and they've ran the model out as far as they can
agents using all the benefits
and they're still profitable
um I think even just from the
the normal producer to the does 1.8 million a year
all you do is have to weigh out the numbers of benefits
and compared to what you're paying in
those numbers don't even become close
like when you look at the benefits
and we were talk to people and like
Angie and I'll sit down and we
do a recruiting pair like a a presentation
I'm gonna call it a recruiting page
and show you the numbers of hey
you done six listings last year
I can show you where I can save you $750
I can show you where we have our free CRM
how much are you spending for your CRM 2:29 okay
here's this for free here's 14 different lead
services that we're still growing
every single day here's the you know
here's this here's that
here's the free sign installments
like this is all things that people have to use
on a day to day the local office is always important
right but I think epics done a really good job
especially with nationwide companies
the No. 1 fear always is
I'm gonna come on and I'm by myself
there's nobody there to help me yeah
right so what epic is doing instead of that
each state that has that is already open
they have a state broker
then they also have area leaders
that are in every area that have some
you know 0 to 50 agents that help you on board
and they help you do your processes
make sure you're not left behind
they also go above even above that
they check in with you weekly
they and they they schedule community events
they schedule realtor events
they do they help you do everything
they have events for you almost every single week
there's no reason for you to be left behind
yeah there's support
I mean you know
I may have that you don't pay for that
I don't yes
that's right that's right
which is different than another model
that's true that's very true
yes and so it's just nice to know that
even though at its core it is a cloud based brokerage
but there are people I know
I can pick up the phone and call
and I can find out what I need to fairly quickly
what's great about epic is that there's
we have things to help
whether you're wanting to just grow your business
whether you're wanting to start your business
or whether you're wanting to take your business
and grow to teams and expand
um that was one of the things they announced yesterday
was the the team expansion uh
plan for the early next year
so um
you know the
the supports there it's
it's built good
that's the thing that I keep going back to
this is built good yeah
what would you tell people who are on the fence
because I was there about joining epic
and let me just say like you guys
you sat down not just with me
but you sat down with me and my husband
kind of talk us through that
and I think that's a very real position
that a lot of people are in
I think real estate agents right now are really
I think they're going through a period between the
nare lawsuits between you know
just the economic period that we're in
they're kind of questioning things
there's doubt there there's
there's a lot of things going on in agents heads
when they're like what should I be doing
just jump
just jump but like make the switch
like you will land where you're supposed to land
here with us um
we fully believe in it we
we see that this company is
is building for us and continues to
to add and and just make it better day after day
it's
it's the place to be then just from a growth standpoint
from a collaboration standpoint
um it's
it's it's the choice
I would say just just jump
one of the things that they
that the founders rolled out yesterday
was the 30 day money back guarantee
so you come over and you pay your your transfer fee
your first month of of your epic fees
your first monthly tech fee
they'll refund that at the end of 30 days
if you if you choose that epic is not for you
and epic is not going to be for every single person
but if we don't deliver on value in the first 30 days
we'll make you whole financially so um
at that point there's no risk
yeah just just do it
the No. 1 thing that is always said is
people are always scared
that their business is gonna fall
when they make a change and I
I wanna throw this out there
and I feel like this has been said 1,000 times
but it is so true they're not using you as an agent
because the sign that you put in the yard yeah
they don't care what color that sign is
like half the names I can't even pronounce
like let's just be for real here alright
they they're not there for the sun okay
so that like that's the very first thing I wanna say
secondly I wanna say is
you can shoot holes through anything you want to
like
you can find the negatives of whatever you want to
but there's also as as perception
you can also see the positives of everything
we have to offer right
there's no other company that is doing anything
like we are period
I don't care I've not seen it
if you can find it please send it to me
I'd love to look at it uh
but I can tell you right now
that there's nothing that I've seen
that you can that can match this
only thing I can give from a suggestion standpoint is
please reach out like we
we have so many answers to your questions
I know you're curious you've got it
you you're trying to find some problems in it
we've thought about it I promise well
