RadioStPete.com correspondent Jazmen Poole continues our Hispanic Heritage Month with an interview w/Isabella Rojas, vice president of The Latino Medical Student Association Plus (LMSA) is an organization that helps all students & medical professionals at the University of South Florida through social, cultural, educational, political and other activities. Their purpose is to acknowledge the health needs of the Latino community, as well as to promote the interests and support of those undergraduate premedical students who identify themselves as Latino students at USF. They offer opportunities such as volunteer work, conversations with professionals, speakers from the healthcare field, informative workshops, and networking opportunities. Isabella Rojas is the vice president of the organization, and she shares how welcoming, upbeat, and vibrant the community of LMAS plus and they have 3 major events coming up in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
