In Episode 3,  Stephen Riordan interviews Keven Renken. Keven was the chairman of the theatre department at the Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School, and taught there for 30 years. His work has appeared in Creative Loafing, Creative Pinellas and The Scribe, among others. WELCOME TO THE DAY is his first novel. It was named a Distinguished Favorite in LGBTQ Fiction by both the Independent Press Awards and the New York City Big Book Awards. It was also named a Finalist in the category of LGBTQ Fiction by both the International Book Awards and the Independent Author Network (IAN) Book of the Year Awards. Originally from Illinois, he lives in Tampa, Florida with his husband.

ABOUT STEPHEN RIORDAN Stephen Riordan is an arts professional having acted, directed, produced, and written in both in New York and St. Pete for over 25 years.  Stephen is making his American Stage debut in Weird in St. Pete, the first show in their “Beyond the Stage” series. Weird in St. Pete is an interactive theatrical experience where audience goers get to meet and hear the stories of several famous and infamous legends of St. Pete.  Stephen will be playing Peter Demens, the undisputed father of St. Petersburg.  His monthly podcast, “The Stephen Riordan Show” highlights up-and-coming artists in our very own community.  Weird in St. Pete runs  October 24-27 and October 31-November 3 at FloridaRAMA in the Warehouse District.
