Silent Suffering

Nov 17, 12:00 PM

A young couple is excited to start their new life in a new city in the bottom-floor unit of a seemingly quiet condo complex.  At first, the older couple living above them seems friendly, but after the downstairs neighbors casually mention that they are a queer couple, the upstairs neighbors begin a relentless campaign of noise and harassment.  Every night, the upstairs neighbors blast their TV, vacuum at 3 a.m., drag furniture, stomp, and bang objects.  Their actions seem intentional, specifically targeting the downstairs couple when they are at home.  The downstairs neighbors try to make peace, offering a gift basket, but the upstairs neighbors deny receiving it, spread lies on social media, and turn some residents against the downstairs couple.  The condo association and the police provide no help.  After two years of torment, the upstairs neighbors abruptly move out, leaving the downstairs couple with lasting trauma and a lingering fear of noise from above.  Press subscribe wherever you get your podcasts to hear more true stories of nightmare neighbors!
