The Needs You Ignore Become the Suffering You Abhor

Season 2, Episode 29,   Oct 10, 07:37 PM

In this podcast, Scott discusses how unmet childhood needs for love and safety unconsciously lead us into bypassing on spiritual or healing paths. He explains that suffering, deeply rooted in the unconscious body, shows up in relationships, causing disconnection and prompting us to seek relief through various practices. However, because of buried emotions, these practices often become ways to avoid confronting our pain, perpetuating the search for love and safety that wasn’t met in childhood. The goal isn’t to eliminate suffering but to meet these fundamental needs at a deeper level and to make them conscious, along with the buried emotions they’re tied to. This approach is central to the KI work—to address the fundamental need and move beyond bypassing for true freedom.
