February 2009 changed everything—that was when social media giant, Facebook, introduced the ‘Like” button. As the thumbs-up started to stream in, author Chris Pennington found he was adjusting his life, online and offline, to get more of them. It was a slippery slope that was quickly growing out of control. In his article, Chris explains that wanting to be liked isn’t a bad thing, but searching for it among Facebook and Instagram posts will always leave you thirsty. There is a better way.
