RadioStPete.com INSIDER correspondent Deb Carson toured the Florida Watercolor Society 53rd Annual Exhibition at Creative Pinellas and shares the thrill of touring the galleries. Immerse yourself in the captivating world of watercolors. The Florida Watercolor Society (FWS) is one of the largest state watercolor societies in the country, boasting almost 1,000 members.  "Watercolor possesses a captivating visual charm," said Beth Gelman, the Senior Director of Arts and Cultural Programming at Creative Pinellas. "It truly engages the viewer. Gallery visitors will be astonished by the diversity of subjects and the innovative spirit of the artists."

The Florida Watercolor Society Annual Exhibition is recognized as one of the top watermedia exhibitions in the state. Techniques vary from traditional to experimental, displaying the versatility and inventive use of the medium. This year, internationally renowned watercolorist Stephen Quiller is the juror and judge for the exhibition. “The Florida Watercolor Society is excited to be showing in such a beautiful venue,” said FWS President Roberta Romeo. “The artwork chosen for the exhibition is exceptional and demonstrates the versatility of watermedia with a wide variety of subjects and painting styles. I can't wait to walk the galleries and experience the exhibition.”
