Arrivée | Women's Olympic Road Race
Season 12, Episode 85, Aug 04, 09:48 PM
In this Arrivée episode from The Cycling Podcast Féminin, Rose Manley and The British Continental’s Denny Gray take a closer look at the women’s Olympic road race.
With spectacular views, an iconic Eiffel Tower finish and a punchy parcours, the race promised to be one to remember. A number of hot favourites led the field. Lotte Kopecky, the Belgian superstar who has made no secret of her Olympic ambitions faced the likes of Team SD Worx teammates Demi Vollering and Lorena Wiebes - part of a Dutch team stacked with talent.
But this is the Olympics and riders would do well to remember Anna Kiesenhofer’s surprise win in Tokyo. The win really could come from anywhere.
