Arrivée | Men's Olympic Road Race
Season 12, Episode 84, Aug 03, 07:28 PM
In this episode of Arrivée, Daniel Friebe and Décathlon-AG2R La Mondiale ace Larry Warbasse reflect on a memorable men’s Olympic road race in Paris.
A 272km race with just 90 starters promised to be a gruelling affair - and certainly a spectacular one with its three ascents of the Butte de Montmartre to one of Paris’s most famous landmarks, the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur. Could Mathieu van der Poel justify his favourite’s billing after a low-key Tour de France - or would his eternal rival, Wout Van Aert form a deadly duo with countryman and newly crowned Olympic TT champ Remco Evenepoel?
These and other questions were answered on Saturday afternoon - and Daniel and Larry review what we found out here.
