Leo Widicker, an 86-year-old retiree, dedicated his retirement to traveling and assisting others through volunteer work and church missions. While on his 41st mission in Costa Rica with his wife Virginia in November 2001, he mysteriously disappeared from the Tabacon Hot Springs Resort.
Despite an immediate search effort initiated within 15 minutes of his disappearance, no trace of Leo was ever found.
What happened to Leo Widicker remains a mystery.
