BBC Open Music and BBC Introducing at The Proms
Jul 31, 12:00 AM
This week, with guest host Alexandra Forrest, we explore one the BBC’s trainee schemes - Open Music. The scheme brings together creatives and musicians across the UK, to bring new ideas and perspectives to BBC Radio 3, which this weekend has culminated in a Prom with BBC Introducing, live music and immersive experiences in sound at The Glasshouse in Gateshead - a collaboration between trainees, BBC production teams, BBC Proms and of course the venue itself.
We chat to co-founder of the scheme and Head of Production at BBC Radio 3, Jessica Isaacs, hear from Producer of the scheme, Melanie Fryer and Lucy Scott, Senior Producer at The Glasshouse, Gateshead before chatting to Ellie Ajao, Open Music and 30 Under 30 alumni to talk about their experiences.
