The Flatwoods Monster

An early evening game of football in the elementary school playground led 5 children, a mother and a national guardsman to believe that they’d discovered a monster. Was it a monster? A cryptid in the Appalachian Mountains? An alien? Or was it possible that there was a more plausible explanation for what they’d seen? Believers and skeptics alike have been investigating for more than 60 years to try and get answers. Regardless of what you believe, the town of Flatwoods, West Virginia has embraced this
monster as part of their own local lore.
