When you lack the respect for those you're speaking to such that you do not think it is beyond the pale to give them ludicrous answers when important topics are at hand, then you are not a person of substance.
You are not a person of depth.
You are not a person who is able to lead an agency or team with an important mission.

As soon as you say one statement as ludicrous as this one. . .

“That building in particular has a sloped roof, at its highest point,” she told ABC News Chief Justice Correspondent Pierre Thomas. “And so, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof. And so, the decision was made to secure the building, from inside.”

. . . apparently just to see if it sticks, in a situation where your team is called to the mat for bad results, then you have proven yourself unworthy.

She should be bagging groceries at most.

Corollary: In these situations those of us who are honest and earnest do not have to prove other people's clear falsities. Stop giving non-substantive and non-earnest people with the audacity to spin yarns in front of our face the 100% benefit of doubt, wow assigning yourself 100% burden of proof.
