Natasha's borscht
Jul 15, 11:05 AM
"These are the sounds of my Ukrainian housemate, Natasha, making borscht. Natasha is a refugee from the war in Ukraine and has lived with me for almost two years now.
"We have become fast friends and learned a lot from each other, not just about cooking. The percussion of chopping, the melody of bubbling, the laughter of delight."
Recorded by Maria Margaronis.
Part of the Migration Sounds project, the world’s first collection of the sounds of human migration.
