The 13th independence anniversary comes at a time when the country is facing uncertainties as security remains fragile, critical political directions on transition still lack clarity, and the humanitarian situation is dire due to several shocks. The catalogue of challenges is quite long, particularly at a time when economic misfortunes are pushing many of the citizens to poverty.
