Marcel Kasumovich is Deputy CIO, Coinbase, and is based in Abu Dhabi. He has been engaged with digital assets since 2012, founding Pure Macro Capital Advisors to house various investment and advisory interests. He previously held senior roles in policy, investment banking and hedge funds with financial institutions and firms including Bank of Canada, the International Monetary Fund, Goldman Sachs and Soros Fund Management. He has published research ranging from academic journals to op-eds, is a member of the Economic Club of New York, and holds a number of  advisory roles in startup financial technology companies.
