Nestled in the middle of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz, famously known as “The Rock,” has been a fortress for captives since the Civil War. It was transformed into the world's most impenetrable prison in 1934.

Many inmates dreamed of escaping its confines, but only three men may have actually succeeded. Did John Anglin, Clarence Anglin, and Frank Morris perish in the icy waters of the Bay, or did they manage to escape to freedom and live out their lives in secrecy? The mystery remains unsolved to this day.

Drift off to sleep listening to this story about one of the most legendary prison breaks in history.

Thanks for listening, and sleep well…
