Episode #52: Still Chasing 200
Aug 13, 2016, 04:19 PM
Another sombre tone to start this week's episode after the loss of three prolific figures in Motorsport in the week prior - Jack Sears, the first ever BTCC Champion, Chris Amon, who manly regarded as one of the greatest drivers to have never won a GP, and Bryan Clauson, the exceptional dirt tracker and three-time Indy 500 starter. We honor them on the show, and if you want to support the Dirt Tracking that Clauson was so exceptional in, you can donate here: http://usacbf.org/give/
In this edition, we focus on IndyCar, and Target's departure from Chip Ganassi, as well as the Mid-0hio Indy 200 as Simon Pagenaud returned to the top step in an epic showdown with Will Power, but it was Mikael Aleshin and Conor Daly who stole the show during the race.
We also talk about GP2's hectic race weekend in Germany as Sergei Sirotkin won via going through the pits twice, and Pierre Gasly had a rollercoaster of a weekend, involving an empty fire extinguisher. Seriously.
And we also run through the IndyCar and Formula 1 grids and speculate over potential seats for 2017. Fun times! Enjoy the show, with new guest host R.J O'Connell!
