Nightime raids in Mankien linked to Terchoung forces

Residents of Mankien say their town is being raided during the night by armed youth they claim are part of the Terchoung militia, loyal to former Unity State Governor Dr. Joseph Monytuil. Businessman Kumthin Maoal Gai told Miraya that the crime spree began after Monytuil was ousted from office after 11 years in government. 

More robberies have been reported on the roads leading out of Mankien. Mongolian peacekeepers from UNMISS were on the ground today, increasing patrols to deter violent crimes in the region.
