Confessions of a Reluctant Caregiver with JJ Elliott Hill, Natalie Elliott Handy & Emilie Elliott - Episode 41

Episode 41,   Jun 12, 03:00 AM

We are a trio of sisters supporting our mom who is living with Parkinson's disease, and a husband who survived cancer.  We share the good, the bad, and the completely unbelievable of our caregiving journey. Through storytelling, guest interviews, and helpful information, JJ, Natalie, Emilie and their guests discuss their shared experiences. Viewers and listeners alike will relate to the reluctance, be affirmed in their ability to be a caregiver and gain the courage to step out of the shadows to confidently express their own needs. The goal is to instil hope by giving caregivers permission to share their thoughts and feelings in a safe and nurturing place. A judgment-free space where caregivers can be their most authentic selves, confessing their truths without shame or fear of rejection. Caregivers are sure to laugh, cry, and everything in between but in the end, all will leave feeling better for the journey and part of the sisterhood of care.

Episode 41 - Zander Keig became his father's main caregiver during his dementia battle. He uses this experience, along with his social work background, to support caregivers of all backgrounds.
