last week in Chicago, out of all places,

And this was no exception.

That was one of the best
Raws I've seen in years.
That Raw, from beginning to end,
was one of the best laid shows ever.
in recent memory,
and it started with The
Rock doing something that
I've never seen The Rock do.
I've never seen The Rock
come into the ring and not say a word.
Yeah, you know what?
Wow.
Man, fair.
And then leave.
and shouts out to mike b um
from some dude pod he was
there he sent me videos and
screenshots about how lit
that that that crowd was
okay but we talked about
this a little bit on some
dude how that whole thing
was unexpected the crowd
was pissed that the rock
was like damn I ain't gonna
say none of y'all I'm just
gonna whisper and cody's it but
Inside the ring or inside the audience,
when Cody was getting his ass beat,
shock and awe.
Like, really?
Okay, what's going on here?
Because we ain't never seen
The Rock like this.
So I ask you,
because when this whole thing
started with The Rock,
it didn't start off good to us.

But ever since after,

it seems like we've gotten The Rock 5,

Is this The Rock's
WrestleMania and everybody
else just living in it?

I had no idea that when we got to 2024,
we would see Def Jam Vendetta Rock,

you had to play that game to
understand not only what
that means but how hard the
final boss was in depth and
vendetta right you know who
dude was red I had no idea
but now we know mr rock so
if they ever make a movie
called no way the rock
can't do it so um but yeah man hey listen
I don't know about many
other podcasts and how they
talk about wrestling,
but I know for sure the
first Black Champ podcast
has been adamant about saying, yo,
The Rock is taking over WrestleMania.
Everybody with a belt don't matter.
Everybody that ran or won
into the Royal Rumble don't matter.
It don't matter if you were injured.
It don't matter if you were booked early,
booked late,
booked in the midst of things.
The conversation nationally
globally has been the rock.
And it really went to show
it don't matter how I feel
about the promos.
Don't matter how I felt
about Sing Along with The Rock.
It don't matter that I felt
that The Rock was
cosplaying The Rock or that
this version of him was
trying too hard to be a heel.
The one thing that's been
synonymous with this entire
runway to WrestleMania,
especially over the last, what,
four to six weeks,
has been The Rock,
where The Rock is gonna be,
what The Rock is gonna say,
how many of his classless, tasteless,
or just unfunny jokes were
gonna get over or fall flat.
It's all been about him,
to the point where, again,
hard subject to change,
I don't think would change
anything right now because
everybody's talking about The Rock, good,
bad, or indifferent.
It's like he's going to
WrestleMania by himself.
And that's pretty major
considering who he's
aligned with in this
program for this era and this story.
How impressed are you
with this version of The Rock.
Like this, like I said,
after Sing Along with The Rock,
it's like a switch hit.
And Last Monday in Chicago
was a rock that I don't
think we've ever seen.
How impressed are you with
this version of The Rock
and where he's taken this story?
You know, I'm kind of on the fence, man.
I'll be honest.
It's like I get it, but I'm not impressed,
if I'm just being honest.
Now, granted,
I didn't realize how many
times that we had seen Rock
become a victim.
in storylines like this but
he would eventually like
conquer over until he was
running with the
corporation and he was the
corporate champ and then he
got to victimize somebody
but um and then there's
like just hollywood rock
which technically lasted
longer than all the other
rocks because we would
eventually get like
nostalgia based rock like
fitness like I'm 40 plus
but I'm just gonna be like
the swollest dude ever but
I'm still a movie star right
And that's the one that went
against John Cena.
And now we got this
family-oriented final boss rock.
And yeah, he's brash, aggressive, vulgar,
very venomous.
And to be honest,
that literally speaks to
everything I like in a lot
of my wrestling characters.
But I just don't feel it from this guy.
I just don't feel it.
And obviously, you know,
I'm not in the demographic
that's supposed to take
everything that I see
seriously or as realism
when I'm watching wrestling.
But I think there is a layer
of acting to me that is
taking away from the
authenticity that normally
I feel The Rock possesses.
So for me personally,
I only get it and I totally
understand what it has to be,
but it's just,
it's not connecting with me.
I'm impressed with the pivot.
The pivot is something that
I don't think we was
getting final boss rock
when all of this started.
The pivot is what is
impressed to me because
this was definitely, to me,
feel like on the fly.
And now he's hitting his stride.
I think if we had, excuse me,
I think if we had a little
bit longer time,
I would probably be more impressed.
But, you know,
if you had those like five
boxes where it was like not
impressed at all, somewhat impressed,
neutral.
somewhat impressed, very impressed,
I would be in the somewhat
impressed because of the pivot.
And I feel you with the
acting part because when
The Rock shared the video
of the continuation of Cody
Rhodes getting his ass beat
after Raw went off, I was like,
we're getting hella
performative at this point.
It was hilarious.
It was more, come on, man,
with the rock on, fam.
I ain't saying cut and then pick Cody up,
but stop hitting him.
You can stop now, my G. But
i was impressed with the
owning of the character at
that part I was like yo we
acting right now but he
owning it at least and I
ain't gonna front if this
was 13 yo bang 13 yo bang

have been scared I just

I think that helped it all for me.
When I seen the exclusive,
I was like, yo, The Rock is, I was like,
either everybody know that
the camera could be on them,
or The Rock really got some
of these white males that
are supposed to be part of
the demo spooked right now.
And that I do appreciate.
I was like, you know what?
Hey,
maybe the final boss is really
something that he really just saying, hey,
I'm going to show up and just,
I'm going to do what I want to do.
And nobody knows truly what that is.
Yeah,
I would have loved for this to been a
build up from like war
games to now because man,
does that make perfect sense to me?
But
it's just again like you
said the switch that had to
be hit because uh the rock
goes from being endearing
uh by all to being you know
vilified by the new crop of
the new generation of
wrestling fans and to now
having to hit the switch to
this it's like oh okay well
This could get interesting.
And I will say he has made
it interesting because I
don't know if I'm talking
about Cody and Roman too at all, really,
based on what I've seen,
if The Rock is not part of it.
But now I'm starting to wonder,
is that by design?
All right, so let's go into that.
It was an article that came
from the Bleacher Report yesterday.
Um,
the title WWE would be foolish booking
Roman reigns to lose versus
Cody Rose at WrestleMania 40.
Um,
I'll go with the first
couple of paragraphs here.
The writer of this, Chris Rowling, says,
"...there's not one single
great reason for Cody
Rhodes to beat Roman Reigns
at WrestleMania 40.
A segment of pro wrestling
fans might call that a hot take,
scorching even.
Some might even suggest Paul
Heyman is ghostwriting it himself.
But it is a take that
continues to be proven true."
It was true one year ago
when Rhodes was ham-fisted
into family-based bloodline story,
earning a layup of the
Royal Rumble victory,
proven true after his loss
when he floated around
purgatory in a Brock Lesnar
feud for months.
Won tag titles, remember that,
and did other random stuff.
And it is perhaps truer than ever today.
The Rock is back,
dwarfing all superstars in the process,
where must-see television
is setting up some
compelling family-based programming.
So it's two questions that I have for you.
How do you feel just about
that title alone that this
writer believes that it
would be foolish for Cody
Rhodes to win and...
Is The Rock showing us that
they had it right all along
in having him go up against
Roman Reigns instead of
finishing the story?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it sounds like he's a
fan of this show.
Listen, let's keep it.
I'm not going to regurgitate
a lot of the things that
I've said over the last few weeks.
But yeah, man, finishing the story again,
I've never been on board
with finishing the story at
WrestleMania specifically.
I've never been on board with that.
And The Rock, you know,
you can play any card that you want here,
right?
But let's look at like some
stone cold facts here, all puns intended.
There's a handful of guys
that we've seen in our lifetime,
who can show up over 45 years old
Show up and say that they're
going to be at WrestleMania
and start telling a story
that gets everybody excited
about WrestleMania.
And The Rock has proved that
he is now in that class.
It was Steve Austin.
It was Hulk Hogan,
whether you love him or hate him.
Hell, it was Ric Flair.
And I would even say The
Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.
That is it.
That is it.
I know Triple H wanted to be in that class,
and you've done something.
You spent the budget.
You broke the bank on a lot of them intros,
bro.
But unfortunately, you're not there.
And it's no disrespect,
because I think the only
guy that's next to get in
that class is going to be Randy Orton.
And that's just, and again,
that's just respectfully
speaking to everyone.
And what that means to me here is,
Yeah,
The Rock was going to do what The
Rock does.
It's like, you know,
we call people legends.
We call people icons.
And we say that they move
the needle and all these
buzzwords and everything
that comes out about certain superstars.
And I'm not saying that it's wrong,
but The Rock has definitely
proven that there is levels
because he don't wrestle every year,
okay?
He don't even got the
Undertaker schedule when
this is happening.
And for everything
considered with the
prototype of wrestling and
how we all have that moment
where we hate to see people get released.
We hate when people
unfortunately pass or they
go to a different
federation or organization
or they just disappear and
we wonder what happened to them.
and then the game forgets them.
And we don't mean to do it.
It's just that we're just
dialed in on being fans,
and we always have that what now moment,
and then we move on.
This is one of the true
anomalies where everybody
that matters arrived,
and The Rock showed up late,
and The Rock is running shit.
That's crazy.
That ain't supposed to happen.
Vince McMahon couldn't have called this.
And we've seen audibles.
We've seen some pretty damn good audibles,
not just for WrestleManias.
So that's what makes this
even more important.
The fact that The Rock is
able to come and do this at 50 plus,
when literally we were
saying at January 1st that
hottest wrestler in the
world is Cody Rhodes.
And we knew for it, like,
even though the bloodline
thing was getting stagnant,
we were hoping for
something to just resurrect.
Seth Rollins on fire.
CM Punk is back.
Drew McIntyre is resurrected.
But all of that,
all of that looks like it's
just a level or two lower
than The Rock deciding that
he want to whoop everybody's ass, cuss,
and go to WrestleMania for
the entire weekend.
Yeah,
I think The Rock is out to prove a point.
The Rock is out to prove a
point that this is supposed
to have been the main event.
Roman Reigns versus me.
And I think that sometimes
when you're acting,
you can pull from experiences.
You can pull from things
that you really truly believe.
I think what The Rock is
doing is a big fuck you to the fans.
Oh, absolutely.
In a good way.
This is what y'all want?

Because, quite honestly,

I would have looked at
Monday and been like,

up against him?

versus Great Khali.
But it's Hulk Hogan versus
Andre the Giant where you do the look up.
Now, some people might say, hey,
Hulk Hogan won that.

supposed to suspend belief
that Cody Rhodes will beat The Rock?

which means that Sunday is going to be

but we still going to beat
Cody S. And he's got to
wrestle in less than 24 hours.
That was going to set up for
Roman Reigns to get his
first clean victory in like
two years over Cody at
WrestleMania Night 2 to prove, hey,
fuck your Royal Rumble,
both of your victories.
um solo not here the rocking
here like use any excuse
you want you showed up for
the match I beat your ass
it is what it is that's
what I had but then the
rock started rocking and he
started final boston and he
totally started
overshadowing his cousin
along with every other
contender in wrestlemania
and in the match so now I
have no choice but to pick
the rock and roman reigns

but I'll save my prediction now
for night two.
But yes, I got the bloodline winning.
I got the bloodline rules.

I also think, though,
in a matter of speaking,
they let Seth Rollins live a little bit.
They let Seth Rollins win.
I don't think Seth Rollins
is going to really be in this match.
If I'm being honest with you,
I got Seth Rollins actually
getting taken out by Drew
McIntyre and Solo before
this match really happened.
So really what y'all gonna
see is a handicap match
between Cody Rhodes, The Rock,
and Roman Reigns.
So that way, no matter what happens,

That Cody is not leaving
Philly with a title around his waist.

So, let's go into night two.
Let's start with Seth
freaking Rollins versus Drew McIntyre.
Who leaves that match the
world heavyweight champion?
Damian Priest.
I'm not wavering.

And we both got Damian and
Finn Balor losing the tag
titles the night before.
So I literally have the
regroup for Damian Priest
specifically being catching in.
And it don't matter if it's
a triple threat match.
It don't matter if Seth win.
It don't matter if Drew win.
But I don't have Drew winning because,
again,
sticking with my prediction from
February.
I got Seth getting cashed in
on screwing Drew McIntyre
out of his shot.
So now the feud now becomes
Damian Priest versus Drew
McIntyre because CM Punk is
still not healthy enough,
but he can't antagonize for
him saying like, yo, I'm not even there.
You still can't get it done.
Like, hey, who chose you?
Who chose you?
Like,
that's an important question that we
still got out here.
So, yes,
I got Damian Priest leaving as the
World Heavyweight Champion
on night two at WrestleMania.
So,
let's just say there's going to be a
lot going on in this match.
Facts.
Because CM Punk is
apparently going to be at
the announcer's table.
And you do have the threat
of Damian Priest.
And I think that threat of
Damian Priest is going to
carry into the match.
I just believe, however,
that Damian Priest will not cash in.
Because I'm going to hold on
to my prediction that
happened some years ago.
I'm actually going to go in
a different direction with
a prediction that I said months ago.
seth rollins will retain the
championship because drew
mcintyre and the damian
priest will get screwed
remember months ago on the
show I told you that that
briefcase damian priest is
going to cash it in they're
going to open it and the
contract is not going to be there
Remember,
they gifted him the senior money
in the bank case.
I believe that he's going to
try to cash in.
He's going to realize ain't
shit in that briefcase.

He's going to get jumped by
the word of the newest

not only will Seth Rollins
retain his championship,
because at this point in time,

to put Cody down the night
before I really do think

going to do his classic

going to come out there
he's going to give the
valiant effort the children
that are four to seven
years old are going to cry
and they are going to want
him to really win and the
thing is you know with the
whole bloodline rules thing
it just says I think it's
got to be present you know
they're they're in control
of the show I think that roman reigns
in an effort to draw the
biggest amount of heat possible,
is just going to pick the
bones of Cody Rhodes at night, too.
And he's really going to lay Cody down,
no ditty.
And he's going to just dominate in Philly,
and it becomes more of a
family celebration
than anything with their thoughts of like,
well, what is next for Cody?

I think that Twitter gets
