Firestone Grand Prix – Local Gulfport Race Car Driver Nikita Johnson Takes His 2nd Big Lap

Firestone Grand Prix revs up in downtown St. Pete March 8-10. Gulfport’s Nikita Johnson Races in the Firestone Grand Prix for the second year, moving up a class. He is turning 16 this year in May and was born during the Indy 500! He and his younger brother Kai are up and coming racing phenoms. There’s a fan-fest in his honor at O'Maddy’s in Gulfport March 6. Radio St. Pete INSIDER Jordan Kalajian caught up with this impressive teen-ager in an exclusive interview. This year, Nikita will be racing in The USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire featuring some of the best up-and-coming competitors as they vie to reach the pinnacle of open-wheel racing in America, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
