Charity Chief Exec's Customer Update 24/02/2024
Season 2, Episode 366, Feb 24, 09:00 AM
Each week we sit down with Matt Stringer, CEO of RNIB, to look at some of the big stories coming from the UK sight loss charity.
This week as Matt was on leave RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey was joined by three members of key RNIB staff; David Newbold, Director of the Office of our Chief Executive, Dr Louise Gow, RNIB Senior Clinical Lead on Eye Health and Aidan Forman, RNIB Director of Technology.
Louise talked about eye health along with how the numbers for repeat and ongoing eye clinic appointments are not being included in the published NHS waiting lists along with how important the Low Vision framework is for eye care across the board.
Aidan reflected on the recent AI technology event held at our London office the Grimaldi Building with thoughts on how AI is helping to transform accessibility around technology for blind and partially sighted people.
David ended the update by talking about the up-coming RNIB Northern Ireland Tech Fair on Wednesday 28 February 2024 with a summary of some of the exhibitors who will be there on the day.
