RNIB Connect Voices Round Up 21 February 2024

Season 2, Episode 361,   Feb 21, 09:00 AM

Alice Findlay, RNIB Customer Insight Co-ordinator shares the latest opportunities for blind and partially sighted people to get involved in with RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey.

Opportunities highlighted this week included:

The RNIB is looking for people with sight loss to complete the next quarterly Connect Voices Tracker survey which has a special focus on experiences of relationships for blind and partially sighted people
Questions will be around your views and experiences of forming and maintaining relationships, such as friendships.
Taking part in the survey you will help the RNIB to improve the support we provide, and direct our work to influence society on issues that really matter to blind and partially sighted people.
To make your voice heard please email Involvement@rnib.org.uk and you will then receive the link to complete the survey.

A reminder to join the RNIB Behaviour Change Panel.
If you have lived experience of sight loss, are interested in changing public perceptions of what it’s like to be blind or partially sighted, and are willing to share your experiences to help us shape campaign concepts, then this is the opportunity for you.
For more details about joining the panel please send an email to campaigns@rnib.org.uk and our campaigns team will send you a short form to fill in which asks you to tell us a little about yourself and why the role interests you. The closing date to complete the expression of interest form is Friday 1 March, 2024.

Help the RNIB make a difference; feedback on our technology grants program.
The Technology Grants Program aims to help blind and partially sighted people afford products more easily. In doing so, we hope to improve a person’s independence, communication, and well-being. We’d like your help to review the existing program so we can be confident it meets the needs of you, our customers.
If you’d like to get involved, please email Ali.Safder@rnib.org.uk with your name, email address and phone number and Ali will get back to you.
