Piazza San Marco on a hot August day

"In Piazza San Marco, the most famous tourist destination in Venice, at 3pm on a hot August day. Bells chime the hour, and the famous jazz cafes play live music as we walk past. After a great deal of summer rain, there was an unanticipated acqua alta (high water), so you can hear the occasional sloshing of puddles too - very unusual for a summer afternoon."
