Political Parties Council Announces the Start of Political Party Registration

 | UNMISS continues to support the government and people of South Sudan in their peace and nation building efforts. Last week the move by the Political Parties Council to announce the start of political party registration signified a concrete step in the democratic transition process –as the country prepares for its first post-independence elections in December 2024. 
Chief of Political Affairs at UNMISS Guy Bennett says that this is an important development in a critical year for the nation.
