US and UK Strike Houthi Targets
Jan 12, 12:02 PM
In the hours before this episode was recorded, US and UK forces struck 16 targets in Yemen in response to Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea. It is the first time prime minister Rishi Sunak has sanctioned military action. He will address the House of Commons on Monday. Some opposition politicians, including the Lib Dems, argue Parliament should already have been recalled.
Funnily enough, the Lib Dems have not been so keen on Parliament being recalled over the fallout from the Post Office scandal. Leader Sir Ed Davey's time as Post Office minister is under ongoing scrutiny. Co-hosts Charlotte Henry and Emma Burnell discuss how that could continue in a General Election campaign.
