CataractCoach PodCast 45: Lucio Buratto MD
Dr Lucio Buratto is a pioneer in refractive and cataract surgery with more than 40 years of experience. He hosts the amazing live surgery event Video Cataratta Refrattiva in Milan, Italy every year and has contributed so much to our profession through his lectures, landmark papers, and many innovations. He has a true passion for evolving the field of cataract and refractive surgery and I have enjoyed learning from him for many years. I also had the privilege of performing live surgery at his meeting in Milan and I still remember the most important saying: "Per favore guarda la luce!" ("please look at the light" which is what I said to the patient as I was performing live surgery). If you have the opportunity to go to his meeting, I highly recommend it! His current project is Okyo.eu, a new free online platform that will broacast live surgery, webinars, presentations, and it will also collect of the largest historical video archive of ophthalmic surgery worldwide.
We feature a new podcast every week on Sundays and they are uploaded to all major podcast services (click links here: Apple, Google, Spotify) for enjoying as you drive to work or exercise.
