"My piece was driven by the northern aspect of Finland and the unusual night as day at 3am that I recall from my visits there. The sounds of diners (presumably at the Marina) serve as the main rhythmic element at the start. I wanted the instrument sounds and samples to present a representation of ancient and modern geography."
