A Life Living with Sight Loss with Megan Price
Season 2, Episode 282, Dec 21, 2023, 10:40 AM
From time to time here on RNIB Connect Radio we like to talk with blind and partially sighted people to find out what life is really like living with sight loss, how they have coped throughout their life with the level of sight they have and the advice they would give to other people who might be starting to lose their sight or finding it difficult to cope with the sight they have.
RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey spoke with Megan Price from rural Wales who has lived with the eye conditions aniridia and glaucoma for all of her life and due to recent deterioration of her sight has been supported by a local Rehabilitation Officer of Visual Impairment (ROVI) both in her home and when moving twice into a new home with her partner and their young child.
Megan told Toby about living with her eye conditions, life growing up with parents and family who are also visually impaired, how the local ROVI helped her and her partner when her sight was starting to deteriorate with help both in the home and navigating a new environment.
