Sounds of Macedonia

"As a cosmopolitan living in different parts of the world, and always having an opportunity to encounter different cultures and people, Macedonian music allows me to represent myself and my country. This composition, through the fusion of two Macedonian traditional songs, ‘Ajde, dali znaes, pametis, Milice’ and ‘Sto mi e milo, em drago ma Kojnik dukan da imam’ and the soundscape of the Alexander the Great fountain, represents a musical journey around Macedonia from the ancient times until today. Incorporating the sound of contemporary electronica and Macedonian traditional music, characterised by unique asymmetrical meters and exotic melodies, this sonic reimagining offers an opportunity for people from anywhere in the world to discover Macedonian musical heritage."
