The life of bamboo

"I was drawn to this recording because of the range of different percussive sounds produced from cutting bamboo and the magical feeling of the bamboo forest. The people speaking in the recording contrasted with the natural sounds of the forest. It was a dynamic I wanted to play with to produce this piece. In the end, I tried to tell a story from the perspective of the bamboo."
