The Full Moon Pyre

My hair was messy, with leaves and dried, clotted blood in it. Eyes bloodshot, barely blinking and I spat out stray pieces of human flesh into the sink. I coughed and lifted a chunk up with my fingertips to examine before I looked at my reflection. I looked wild, truly feral and I had never killed a human before.
