My boyfriend has 2 sisters and a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving we are invited to a barbecue at the older sister's house.

She'd refuse to eat certain meals and mom would take it personally which results in a series of arguments between them as a compromise this year my wife offered to bring her own food to Thanksgiving I was stunned I asked. If she thought this through and she looked at me confused I told her about how weird it would be for her to bring her own food especially when she wouldn't be sharing it with anybody else and told her to think about how my mom would react she she'd get very offended and upset. My mom said that it was not fair. Way. It was not her problem and that she was trying to make it work by bringing in her own meals I told her again that my mom might not like that nor allow this she blew up at me asking if I want her to either. Eat food. She doesn't like or go hungry I suggested she give my mom's food a chance but she said it wasn't about my mom's cooking. She doesn't like certain foods. We had an argument and I ended up telling she could stay home from thanksgiving and have whatever meal she likes.

And so my wife had dedicated had decided to spend Thanksgiving with her family by who who by the way lives hours away. My kids have been a week off from online school and I was doing a puzzle with that before dinner. Do we need to get one still is it being delivered I said I don't know nothing about a turkey the kids and he looked confused so I helped them along that said I didn't buy anything I didn't play anything. He blew up at me yelling about how I should have obviously known I said why I've literally never planned or made Thanksgiving dinner in my life. The most I've ever done is help clean up or baby peel the potatoes I asked him why he didn't plan anything and why he and why did the kids plan anything. Why is everyone waiting until the last minute and dubbing it will be. He just sputtered and yelled and stormed off to his office and left you with the kids. We all had dinner and the kids cleaned up and I was relaxing with some wide in a book after they went to bed my husband tore into me about how he can't believe I let this all go to last minute and now there'll be no thanksgiving and how could i.

It's normally served she doesn't want to play games as she gets tires easily. And we just listened to music slash talk in the evening instead I was really upset by lis firstly none of us are vegetarian so I don't really know how to prepare a turkey alternative but secondly I'd rather I already ordered the turkey and it seems like a waste. And not to be able to drink eat what we want to or even play games in the evening just feel so unreasonable when 9 of us won't get to celebrate in the way that we'd like to in the family chatter replied and said while I would make her a non-poultry meal. And would make sure people don't drink at the table if I wouldn't ban poultry or alcohol from the house and I certainly wouldn't not be playing game not be playing our games particularly as my niece and nephew are old enough now to join in and really loved it last year both James and Becky.

The whole situation was too much and I told them I wouldn't be eating this food. They asked why and I tell them why my sister says I'm blowing things up out of proportion meanwhile mentions. There was so much tension with my mother in law I was barely able to speak after the x left my husband and I went home and my mother in law tried calling but then called. My husband and text me say what I did was inappropriate and that I ruined Thanksgiving dinner and made everything awkward. She said it wasn't her fault chairs were taken and I could have dragged a chair from the kitchen but acted childish childishly and made the ex uncomfortable with how inappropriate it was um. Edit I need to mention that even if I took a chair from the kitchen. There was not enough space at the dinner table to fit the chair. Everyone was sitting next to each other. Um I don't think she's the asshole. It's awkward. But why did it. The husband make sure there was a seat for her.
