ACRA attends to maternal and neonatal care training needs in Upper Nile

Baliet County in South Sudan's Upper Nile State has remote areas that have inadequate health facilities. The poor state of the few health facilities poses challenges for women when they are delivering babies. Health workers are inadequately skilled and the referral system in weak. The Agency for Child Relief Aid has conducted a five-day refresher training on Basic Emergency Maternal Obstetric and Newborn Care in Baliet County for health workers who include midwives. The agency's Partnerships and Business Development Manager Chrispory Juma explains how this training seeks to alleviate the challenges faced by women and health workers.
