Vidar Hjardeng MBE - RSC Macbeth, AD Theatre Review
Season 2, Episode 180, Oct 13, 2023, 02:00 PM
RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey is joined again by Vidar Hjardeng MBE, Inclusion and Diversity Consultant for ITV News across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands for the next in his regular Connect Radio theatre reviews.
This week Vidar was reviewing the RSC production of Macbeth Directed by award-winning Director Wills Wilson with Ruben Joseph as MacBeth at Stratford-upon-Avon on Thursday 5 October at 1.15pm with description by professional audio describers Carolyn Smith and Annette Stocken.
About MacBeth
Brutal actions have brutal consequences. The political and natural world is broken and the Macbeths seize this opportunity to rise through the ranks and control their destiny. But their ambitions unravel into a living nightmare in a world where boundaries are paper thin – between the natural and supernatural, love and hate, joy and despair. This is a gripping, terrifying tale of our times.
In her RSC debut, award-winning director Wils Wilson (Associate Director at the Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh) directs Macbeth, one of Shakespeare’s most enduringly popular plays.
