“Elisha, Empty Pots, and Oil for a Widow" by Greg Chandler

Desperation is unsettling business! Reaching a point in one’s life where survival, whether physical, spiritual, or mental, is almost beyond reach leads to desperate attempts to attain what seems unattainable. An indebted widow from ancient days was desperate. On the verge of losing her family to debt slavery, she appealed to the prophet Elisha for help. His actions, along with her attitude, demonstrate important lessons for the people of God no matter the age in which they live. This sermon will explore this account and amplify the important principles it speaks.
