"As a person that struggles with sleep, this has been a soothing piece, meant to be a "sub-bathed" repetitive sequence. Almost all elements (bass, kick, melodies, ambient creature) have been derived from the sample itself using granular synthesis on DAW.
"Intended to keep the entire project sample based at first, but towards the end of the project, vocal sample and modular synthesizer drone has been added in order to include some external live elements to the ensemble.
"The minimal muffled kick has been added as a tribute to the kick that exists in usual dance tracks, yet faded and misplaced. The vocals added were a snippet from an original poem called "Dreams" describing the idea of falling asleep and how the minds moves into this secondary internal realm."
