Der Traum

"Rather than make music that listeners would fall asleep to I used, in part, the waves and the child's voice from the field recording to make, for want of another word, a dreamscape. Irrespective of whether dreams have a psychoanalytical value or a more prosaic 'defragging' of the brain they are essential to sleep.

"I invite my listeners create a space to listen and allow this piece to bring imagery from the unconscious mind to experience, without judgement or understanding, whatever arises. They can use their internal voice in a monotone way to describe any images (a practice advised by many sleep coaches). They can continue until their mind begins to drift, sleep beckons."
