Is Your Business Book Idea a Good One?

Season 2, Episode 22,   Sep 17, 2023, 11:17 PM

One of the questions I’m asked the most about writing is whether the idea someone has for a business book is a good one. It’s natural to worry about whether the hard work you’re putting into your writing will pay off in the long run.

So, I’ve put together some advice for you so you can be sure your book has the best chance of success. And while there’s no guarantee of sales or people’s glowing opinions, you can put yourself in a good position for both of these things.

In this episode, you’ll discover:

  • Why you need to embrace the vulnerability that comes with writing a book - and how you can tackle that fear of judgement.
  • A checklist to go through so you feel confident in your idea and have the clarity to move forward.
  • Whether there’s such a thing as too many books within your niche area - should you add to an already saturated market?
  • If you should write a book because people tell you it’s a good idea…
And so much more!

By the end of the episode, you’ll feel confident to write the best book you possibly can. And if it brought up problems with your initial plan, you'll now feel empowered to test the merits of a different idea instead.

I hope you enjoy listening!
